A Full Skin Check Can Save Your Life

Australia has the highest rate of skin cancer in the world. Skin cancer affects 1 in 3 Australians under the age of 70. It has never been more important to have you skin checked thoroughly.

Skin cancer can occur anywhere on the body, even in the areas that are not exposed to the sun.

Skin cancer can affect all skin types regardless of your background. Our doctors offer all patients a full head-to-toe skin check. We pride ourselves in providing you with a thorough examination with uncompromised quality of care. Please arrive at the clinic 5 minutes early, remove all makeup and nail polish if possible, expect to be undressed down to your undergarments, a modesty gown will be provided on request.

You are a high risk patient if you have one or more of the following:

  • Fair skin that burns rather than tans.
  • Light coloured eyes and fair coloured hair.
  • Multiple sunburns especially as a child.
  • If you’ve used tanning beds like solariums.
  • If you have a large numbers of moles and freckles.
  • If you have multiple dysplastic nevi.
  • If you have a personal or a family history of skin cancer.
  • If you have a personal or a family history of melanoma cancer.

A full skin check is recommended as a proper checking tool but if you are concerned about a particular spot anywhere on your body, or in cases of an emergency that you are very worried then a brief 15 minute appointment can be booked to assess a maximum of 3 spots only.
